During the past year, over €1,000,000 was invested into a full ground floor refurbishment at this East Cork hotel, which included the modern and elegant restaurant, stylish yet comfortable communal areas such as the lobby and reception, the timeless and classic ballroom which hosts views of the picturesque gardens, and spacious private arrival suites, ideal for newlyweds.  Two floors of bedrooms have also received a modern makeover, with plans to continue this across the remaining rooms. The extensive hotel overhaul included a redesign of the Bridal Suite as well as the development of a magnificent Presidential Suite and two Superior Suites.

Changes at the Midleton Park Hotel stretch far beyond the aesthetic. Staff expansions have been speckled with new hires, as well as internal promotions. In May the hotel reins were handed over to new General Manager, Janice McConnell, whos leadership and dedication can be seen taking effect throughout the team. The management team was expanded and restructured with key roles created and filled, such as Deputy General Manager and Accommodation Manager.  All staff, new and existing, have undertaken extensive training and development to ensure that customer service remains a top priority of the hotel. Staff work together in a natural symbiosis, aided by their can-do attitude, from the top down, and bear in mind at all times the staff’s unofficial mantra, “no request, no matter how big or small, is outside the realms of possibility” — this mantra being what has upheld the glittering reputation already earned by Midleton Park Hotel.

The menu at Midleton Park Hotel bravely underwent the knife by young, energetic, and innovative Head Chef, Ben Scott, and has emerged revitalized with a fresh new offerings, and mouth-watering new taste. Scott prioritized freshness and traceability, changing many of the hotel’s suppliers to source local produce, where possible. From bar to restaurant, to large event catering, the menu choice, value, and most importantly taste does not disappoint.

Speaking about this fantasitc new four star rating, General  Manager Janice McConnell proudly commented, “On behalf of the entire team here at the Midelton Park Hotel I can only begin to express our excitement and pride at receive this prestigious rating. To be recognised as a four star hospitality establishment is a credit to the hard work, dedication and attention to detail displayed by our whole team. We have undergone a transformation to get us to where we are today, which have been embraced by both our staff and customers alike.  It is fantastic news for the hotel, the town, and for the entire Talbot Group, which we are delighted to be a part of. We couldn’t be more excited to share this with each and every person who passes through our doors and recives our four star experience.”
