Discover our shining achievement - the Talbot Hotel Clonmel and Talbot Hotel Carlow's Solar Revolution. Our landmarks’ initiative has brought 250kWp of clean, renewable energy to power our properties. By embracing the power of the sun, we're reducing our carbon footprint and leading the way towards a cleaner Talbot.
In January 2024, we installed 68kW PV Solar system to generate clean at Talbot Hotel Wexford, renewable energy. 136 panels were installed over our East, South and West orientation of roofs and will generate approx. 65,550 kWh of energy and at same time helping us to avoid 30,813 kg of CO2.

Talbot Hotel Carlow's expansion has nearly doubled its solar capacity to an impressive 250kWp. This leap promises to generate a significant 229,271kWh of clean, renewable energy annually, contributing to a brighter, more sustainable tomorrow.

In line with our commitment to responsible practices, this solar venture stands to eliminate an astounding 108,071 kg of CO2 emissions each year. The power of our sustainable choices reverberates through Carlow, creating a positive impact on both the local community and the environment.

A triumph of engineering innovation, 550 PV modules now adorn our property's uniquely curved roof. The challenge of the architecture was met with a tailored solution - each panel is equipped with Tigo optimisers, ensuring optimal energy generation even in shaded conditions.
